T-Minus One Week

Only one week to go till Disneyland and the Happiest Homecoming on Earth! While it really isn’t a homecoming for me and the boys since none of us have ever been to Disneyland before, it still seems like one sine it it Walt’s park and as Cast Members, it is part of our heritage. I can’t wait. This time next week, I will be in California and watching Remember, Dreams Come True at Sleeping Beauty Castle.

Disney High

So I got this from a friend who also works at Disney. It’s a list of what the different social groups would be like if they were in a high school setting. Some of my readers may have to remember back longer than others but for anyone that works at Disney, it is amazing how true this little bit of humor is.

**Welcome to Disney High**

Characters/Parade
Cheerleaders/Football players. They work about 2 hours a day and walk around doing whatever they want the rest of the time.

Attractions
The popular kids. Everyone knows them and sadly wants to be like them or at least transfer to their area.

Merchandise
We’re cool, but non-chalantly cool. Everyone knows us, but we don’t brag about our popularity.

Outdoor Foods
The rebel kids. They’re always out of class/outside in their cool sunglasses and hats.

Custodial
You say hi to them in class but never acknowledge their existence in the halls or backstage. Although some of them are super hot.

Guest Relations
Snobs.

Third-Shift Custodial
They’re just plain creepy.

Well, the soundtrack for RENT The Motion Picture is available today. It has most of the original songs from the Musical but most of them have a slightlly new sound to them. I love it and can’t wait for this movie to come out. Click the link below to open RENT in the iTunes Music Store.

New Role!

It is my pleasure to announce that as of October 16, I will be in a new role at the Walt Disney World Resort. As of Thursday, October 13, I will no longer be a Merchandise Cast Member. After my 4 day vacation to Disneyland, I will return and move to a role in Main Street Operations. Main Street Ops is the group that handles turnstiles, steam trains, PAC (parade audience control), and a mixture of other park support operations. So who knows, the next time you come visit, I might be driving the steam train!

Don’t you hate SPAM?

So I recently changed my e-mail address due to the influx of SPAM coming in. So I thought I would keep the address live and forward it to my GMAIL account just to see and to filter out any missed address changes messages. Well folks, on average, it appears that I was getting 60+ SPAM messages a day. Wow, what a pain!

Nothing to Report

Well, I figured I would sit down and give everyone a bit of an update. I am still around and working as usual. This week, I am mostly in strollers with the exception of one day. Being in strollers means that I am in at 7:30 am so I am not really around much in the evening as I am heading to bed early to catch up on sleep. For those that are wondering about my transfer, I am still on the waiting list. I have no news yet on a date but, I will keep everyone posted.

Day Off Update

No, I have not dropped off the face of the Earth. I have just been occupied with work and meetings the last few days. Today was my regular day off and I once again just sat around the house and did nothing. Well, I take that back, I did some laundry and cleaned my room a bit but other than that, I just relaxed. Last night was the first night of Candlelight which is was really strange singing O Come All Ye Faithful in the middle of September but then again, Christmas is just around the corner. Scary thought I guess. So that’s the update for now. Still no word from Casting on Main Street Ops but I will keep you all update.

Fall Cleaning

Well I know I don’t seem to post as much as I would like to but, I have been busy with work and things around the house. Today I got home from work and cleaned around the place such as taking out the trash, bathroom and vacuuming. Now I am cleaning through files in my iTunes Library. My Library contains 2231 songs which roughly equals 6.7 days worth of non-stop playing. 468 of those 2231 songs are Disney related, now that is sorta scary. What else, I got my hair cut yesterday and will probably try and sneak one more in before Disneyland in a month. Not much else to report.
