Rent the Movie?

Well, it looks like on November 11, one of my favorite musicals, Rent, will be coming to the big screen. Rent-The Movie looks like a great movie and appears to hold true to the original. I can’t wait!

A Week’s Worth of Updates

Well, It has been like almost a week since I last posted. A lot is going on right now in my life. I have been busy with hanging out with friends, going to movies, making plans for Disneyland, and work. This past couple of days have been very busy at the Magic Kingdom as one can expect on a holiday weekend. The park closed for a few hours on Monday but other than that, all went well. As soon as I got out of work, I waited for Patrick to finish over at Outdoor Foods and then the two of us headed over to Epcot to meet up with Travis, Paul, Johnnie and Caroline. Started off with a Dos XX in Mexico and then just walked the World Show case until it was time for Illuminations: Reflections of Earth with a special Tag for the 4th of July. Let’s just say that for those that saw last years Holiday Tag, you will know what to expect. Didn’t see them, check out the following post from the archives:

Simply amazing as usual. No one can top WDW Fireworks for the holidays it seems. After the show, we went off to Travis’ condo in Celebration for home-made chili by our host. Travis, great job on the chili. It was great. I’ll have to get the recipe from you.

Yesterday, I was off and was supposed to have a meeting at work but the meeting was cancelled due to some people being sick so I went and got my haircut instead and killed time walking the Emporium and Main Street USA until Patrick got there. We did a couple of rides at Magic Kingdom and then we headed off to Disney-MGM Studios for the evening and got a nice dinner at the 50s Prime Time Cafe. It’s a cute place but I still like Wilderness Lodge better. After that, we ended up coming back to my place and jsut relaxed and watched some TV and movies before calling it a night. It was a lot of fun.

As for today, I am waiting for my roommate to clear out of the shower so I can get ready myself and then I am off to Classic Honda to take a look at some new cars before my meeting today at Pleasure Island with the Ops Manager for Guest Relations. Well, I’m out for now.

War of the Worlds

Just got back from the movies with Patrick. We went and saw War of the Worlds with Tom Cruise. Overall, I thought it was a decent movie. It really kept you on the edge of your seat the entire movie. It’s certainly a movie worth going to see despite a few things that just will make you say “come on, that’s not possible.” Movie was packed too which is a good thing I guess. In other news, while we were at dinner before hand, I ran in to Lova and Heather from Eckerd Campus Activities. It was fun to see them again even though it was brief. Well, off to bed.

Another Rainy Day

Well’ it must be summer in Florida again when it rains everyday around four in the afternoon. I am off today and have just been chilling around the house getting things done. Met up with Patrick yesterday and walked around Epcot and will be heading out in a bit to meet up with him again so we can catch War of the Worlds if it isn’t sold out. Things are going well and my birthday was amazing. Simply put, I had an amazing time with my close friends and it will be a day I will never forget. I was also supposed to be meeting with an Area Manager of Guest Relations today but, I got a phone call this morning informing me of a schedule change and that meet and greet will not be happening today but we will reschedule. Not much else new in my world.

Happy Birthday to Me!

Happy 23rd Birthday to myself! Today is my birthday after so many shout-outs lately. Today is a fun filled day of me getting to sleep in and then I am off to meet up with my friend Patrck at Magic Kingdom and then a fw others once they get out of work. There will be a special dinner at Whispering Canyon in Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and then back to Magic Kingdom for a birthday view of Wishesâ„¢ A Magical Gathering of Disney Dreams. After the show, it will be off to the Orlando Alehouse and 535 to meet up with the remainder of the gang ho was at work (Johnnie, Charlie, John, Paul and Travis). So, what am I doing on the computer? Time to get out and celebrate. Have a magical day.

Come On

Well, I finally found it. The song I have been looking for after I first say the trailer for Finding Neverland. The song is called Come On – Instrumental by Ben Jelen. The song is not in the movie at all but it sticks in your head when you see the trailer. The highlight of the trailer has the main part of the song when the camera swoops up over the stage and you see the world of Neverland come alive. Finally I found it.

Herbie!

Well folks. Only a couple of days to go till my birthday. Last night I met up with Patrick after he got out of work and we did the Virtual Magick Kingdom Quests in the Magic Kingdom. VMK is a new online experience that is similar to the Sims. Players create a virtual person and can walk around a virtual Disney Theme Park and interact with other guests. Completing the quests earn you items you can use in the game such as trading pins, shirts, hats, and more. Also, when you purchase items in the park, you can get a card to get the same item as a virtual souvenir in the game. Soon, it will tie in to the Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters at Disneyland Resort I am told and guests in VMK can play with guests at Disneyland.

After we did our quests and got our prizes, we went off to Downtown Disney and walked around a bit before getting dinner at Wolfgang Puck’s and then deciding to go see a movie at AMC. We decided see Herbie Fully Loaded due to lack of others that looked interesting. It wasa decent movie and was cute. My only complaint is that they really don’t mention Herbie’s past. They show clips of the older movies and make Herbie look like a race hero but they don’t ever go back to it. Personally, if you find an old car that was a huge race hero wouldn’t you notice? Oh well, it was a fun movie. That’s all for now folks.
